Biography

Originally formed under the name "Scum", in 1988, this Swedish based death/viking metal band has released numerous albums under MetalBlade records and Pulverised records. Amon Amarth's lyrics are greatly based on Norse Mythology and war. They switched their name to Amon Amarth before releasing the demo, The Arrival of the Fimbul Winter in 1994.
