Einfach gestrickter Bubblegum-Pop. Persönlicher Favorit: "ABC I Love You".

Here we go again another platter from the 1910 Fruitgum Company. "Goody Goody Gumdrops" is another enjoyable single. I am sure the summer lovers were singing this to each other everytime it hit the airwaves. The one difference between this album and the previous release is the filler is of much higher quality. "Hot Diggity Dog" has a sweet groove, good hook and decent vocal harmonies. A truly wonderful track called "(Play Our Song) Mr. Music Man" is glorious in all its 60's glory. I am suprised this song wasn't pushed to the top of the charts back in 1969. The album is worth tracking down because of the very good album tracks which are spread out around this bubblegum classic. "A,B,C, I Love You" is one of those songs that are a total miss. It just doesn't work and its a shame it was included. The production quality of the record is exactly what you would expect from the genre. This is a much better album overall than anyone could have predicted. Nothing is as immediate as the opening track or their other hits but a worthy collectors peice for anyone who's a fan of bubblegum pop.
