Wu-Tang have always been on my hit list for groups to check out and it wasn't until earlier this year I gave hip hop another serious go. A few years ago I used to listen to a few hip hop artists but the only one who stood out was Eminem. But something clicked with me this year to grab hip hop and have a listen.
Now that's a few months ago and I'm still hooked and I'm a new found fan for life. So why have a chosen Wu-Tang album to listen and review? Silly question I know. But there world famous for being the hip hop group, along with others but non alike to the Clan.

The beats, lyrics and those eery sound effects which seem accompany various tracks featured on this record sum it up to be a little bit special and a cut above the rest. Who cares if this is over rated or far too popular it serves them right for producing something this catchy. Every thing flows so well in a package than anyone can listen to how can you not like it.

In summary this is a classic. It took me a while to get into the flow. Not to say I disliked it but every hip hop album is different and I just had to be in that right mind set for it to click. But when it did I couldn't agree more with the hype, this is one of the best.

Anyone who enjoys music must listen to this, obliviously liking hip hop is a plus but overall this is a masterpiece.

Packaging: standard jewel case, booklet lists shoutouts and thank yous, no lyrics
Production: RZA (with help from Ol' Dirty Bastard on "Da Mystery of Chessboxin'" and Method Man on "Wu Tang Clan Ain't Nuthing ta Fuck Wit")

It's true what they say, the great albums take a while to fall in love with. At first,  Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) didn't do a lot for me. Looking back I can't tell you why. This album is as good as it gets from start to finish (besides the parts where Raekwon talks). Everybody talks about how influential it is and how ahead of it's time it was, but I can't tell you any of that and would look like an ass. I don't know enough about hip hop. Of course I know all this from what I've read, but I can't break it down and tell you why. I can tell you that it's one of the most enjoyable albums you'll ever hear. And, to me, that's all you can ask from music. Entertainment. Whether it be fun entertainment or deep entertainment. 36 Chambers does it all. Every rapper brings a different dimension to the songs and it works perfectly. My favorite's being Method Man, Ol' Dirty Bastard and the genius production of RZA. Right from the start you can tell this is a special record with the perfect opener "Bring Da Ruckus". And it doesn't slow down until the very end. Does it get any better than "C.R.E.A.M." and "Method Man"? Hell no. Classic album and not overrated in the slightest. I'll never get tired of these tracks.

This album is simply what Straight Outta Compton was like 5 years previously, it forced hip hoppers to step their games up or go home. Think about it. When did DJ Premier start making insane beats? 1994, the year after this was released. And where the fuck did Rakim, LL Cool J, Ice Cube (ironically), and Dr. Dre (also ironically) go? They were fucking shook of the Wu-Tang Clan, they couldn't keep up so they just started jogging. Every song is a classic, every rapper is ill, every RZA production is insane, everything clicks beyond the way every other album does.

However, I am 100% sincere when I say that Enter the Wu-Tang is a masterpiece.

Seriously guys, if you don't like this album and you consider yourself a "fan of hip hop" believe me, your not, and if you just don't like this album at all then well...your just racist.
