Overall: 77 - 81 2.82/5 55 - 58%: Slightly above average; BE WARNED
Cassidy basically attacks everybody over all the hottest beats. He disses Wayne a couple times then lets a verse of his in. Let's not even get started that he raps on quite a few Wayne beats here. He complains a lot about people having no ideas, like 50's "I Get Money" beat being unoriginal, yet all he's doing here is re-appropriating good hooks and songs into mediocre street-level anthems. I like Cassidy as a rapper, but this isn't the best comeback. Especially when he'll spend half an album belittling mainstream rappers, then lay a track down on a weak 50 Cent beat just to show he actually has love for the South, he just doesn't always respect how they get down. It's just a confused, sloppy mixtape. Cass sounds hungry, though, so it will be interesting to see where he's at in the fall.
As far as features go, who the fuck is Ar-Ab? |
