It takes a certain kind of personality to enjoy Daniel Jonston's peculiar brand of lolololololo-fi piano-centered introspective pop music. You have to be pretty weird to understand and relate to this guy. Though I'll venture a guess that the majority of people who regularly visit this site are fairly eccentric. That's right, I went there. This album deserves the treatment and so do the wonderful people who rated it correctly. I am also bored. Wow, that title sounds pretentious. Anyway, these are albums that floored me upon first hearing them. I can say for all of these that I vividly remember the exact moment I first listened to them. Truly meaningful experiences. Most of them are 5 stars, but that's not an essential. Any of these albums could have declined (or increased) in rating upon repeated listens. This is just about the first listen. And they are in order of how big the "epiphany" happened to be.
