Gave up with the numbers. Know Dark Side is my favorite, but even though the albums are set to give me an idea, the order is not definite.

As 2008 finally gets to an end. I have been forced to publish my end of the year lists. Been so much good things to hear from 2007, 2006, 2005 and the 50 years before that, I must accept I'm not an avid new music listener. Still, some great albums managed to get through my filter-. The result, this list

As a continuation to last year's Best Songs of 2007. This year Ive jsut included songs released on this year, despite of their single release date. In order to include a greater variety of artists, Ive chosen one song per artist.

If anyone would like to know what Ive been listening throughout 2009, then they'll just have to look up for each weeks top 3 artists, the most heard track and the last.fm stats dor unique artists, total trackas and track plays.
This is not entirely functional since it doesn't scrobble what I hear on my stereo, my zune neither my iPod.

So I decided that with the facilities the custom chart option gives you, I'd be able to do something interesting for the RYM community. This is still at work, and expect and update with a year span.

Some countries are not identified by the finder.

Maybe someone could explain on the comments how the RYM rating system works.

I still haven't heard enough a couple of these, so the order will definitely change.

The best of each Genre on the RYM charts, including the obscure and barely rated genres. You make this, so don´t blame me.

Realizing my concept was too over the top, I have decided to first just stick to the big genres, which still makes it quite over the top.

Pop music is often looked down on the RYM community, but it is undeniable, that this genre is one of the most influential on pop culture. Here, the best rated singles by RYM users of this decade to end.

Now and then, I always enjoy picking up a book about music business, artists, or just some silly coffee table book on the million albums you must hear before you die. Here, just the ones I've read in no particular order.

This used to be somewhere on my lists, but when the chart changed, they were taken out, but since they will probably come back again, I'll just leave them on Stand By.

Since the decade is about to end, I, as any magazine or RYM Users, decided to list my favorite records of the 200s, though I'm still to hear many stuff and would appreciate reccomendations. Even though most of these albums are flawless, I included on each entry a videolink to a Youtube video of one of the songs, and a Wishlist Status in case you want to sent me something for Christmas.
